THE HOLLYWOOD HACK

THE NEW BEAUTY TOOL HOLLYWOOD MUA PATI DUBROFF SAYS IS A MAKEUP KIT MUST FOR MARGOT ROBBIE, CHRISSY TEIGEN, NATALIE PORTMAN, PRIYANKA CHOPRA AND KATE BOSWORTH

£14, BOOTS “I was a little sceptical at first because it reminded me of a chicken cutlet,” laughs Pati Dubroff when chatting about the MakeupDrop (£14, Boots), an applicator made of medical-grade silicone designed to eliminate wasted makeup. She adds, “I started playing with it and realised there was really something to it.“ The silicone tool is nontoxic and can be cleaned using just soap and water or makeup wipes, another big selling product for the celebrity beauty pro. “Sponges and brushes can be so unsanitary, and they start to pull your skin,” says Dubroff. “The most important thing for my clients is that I’m making sure that I’m not hurting their skin, and that can happen if you are using dirty applicators.” Another perk? The versatility. It can be used to distribute sunscreens, serums, blush, highlighters and even lipstick. “I’m all about streamlining my kit as much as possible,” she says.
